[LIFE] Hong Kong!
I'm in loveeeeeeeee with the city!
Never thought that Hong Kong will be one of my fave city. I mean, okay, they are metropolitan, big city, but I don't really expect Hong Kong to be the city that full of culture and very modern.
The very first thing that makes me in love is of course the easy peasy transport. As a tourist, I can understand easily by just getting the MTR once, and everything is linked with their MTR.
I stayed on Tin Hau, which just one station away from the bustling Causeway Bay, the central for everything; shops, restaurants, etc, etc. Talking about food, I love Chinese foods, and Hong Kong is good for it. But for Muslim like me, it could be tricky, so you can be more careful and try the good dimsum on Islamic center which located near Times Square. It's so goooood!
For the lover of book, I went to Hong Kong Central Library in the heart of Causeway Bay, near Victoria Park. There are thousands of books in a huge building, that makes me envy how Hong Kongers can read books without buying it. Borrowing or just read on the quiet place is the key!
For you who wants to travel to Hong Kong these are the list of place for you to visit:
1. Mong Kok
You can visit the famously place in Hong Kong with MTR and don't forget to visit Ladies Market in the area. It's good for buy things from Hong Kong for your family back home.
2. Lan Kwai Fong
Night life in Hong Kong. All restaurant and pubs open late, and you can get happy hour promotion in almost every block of this area. Friday and Saturday night is full with party goers.
3. Victoria Park
There's a hidden gem, a bridge where you can take a good look of the Hong Kong skyscrapers.
4. Tsim Tsa Tsui
The promenade of Avenue of the stars, it's like the hollywood walk of fame but with international names from China, such as Jackie Chan.
5. Fashion Walk & Times Square
You can find any luxury international brand as well as the mall of Times Square which full of restaurant and shops along the way.
I think above are the must place you need to go while in Hong Kong other than Disneyland (of course!) Our Ocean Park, or Macau. I will talk about Macau in next post. Ciao!
